The Middle School
TCIS is a diverse community that cares about the unique needs of middle school students. TCIS has developed a separate middle school to better support middle school students as we encourage positive attitudes and relationships, teach them strategies and processes and be there when they need help.
Middle School Philosophy
TCIS recognizes that Middle School students have unique social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs. Therefore, we provide a developmentally appropriate program that:
* Promotes academic, social, moral, and spiritual growth that accompanies a Biblical Christian worldview.
* Engages students in critical thinking to explore ideas, identify problems, generate solutions, and evaluate work.
* Provides interactive, interdisciplinary, inquiry-based instruction in a supportive environment.
* Fosters respect for self and others and appreciation for world cultures, as they discover their own identity and how it relates to the world at large.
This philosophy will be fulfilled through a mutual partnership among students, parents, and faculty with a shared responsibility for communication and success.
